the successful pretty friends and enemies

why isn’t the universe working

my mum said kindness is key

mum is always right

 

but then the digital era

welcoming with a fresh shower of ignorance 

depression is key

and a kiss of disconnection

big big brother keeps me safe and sound in my constructed dreams

I feel safe when I don’t know

 

society needs me to work 

money is the happy tool

they said so on the internet

 

love is in the air

but it never reaches my nostrils

never penetrates my lungs with its sweetness

hmmmm

maybe I should run towards it and catch it before it is born

but how do I do that if the source is unknown

all this desire 

where should I place it if not in my pocket

keep it safe so no one will ever sense it
